How long is this recession going to last?
America’s millions of small to medium-sized businesses are in desperate need of the answer to that question. As a consultant to these businesses, you can build a unique opportunity for them to survive and thrive by competing in the Business Olympics.
The Business Olympics idea is based on the principle that competition fosters improvement. We will establish business teams, who are guided by specially trained consultants (the coach), in multiple locations. A target number of 50 companies will form 4 teams at each location to compete for individual and team success. CEO Support Systems will provide set criteria to be applied to all teams, and outside experts will serve as final judges of bronze, silver, and gold medal winners.
Getting stronger and better is a critical part of the competition process. Participating organizations will commit members of their management staff to a year-long engagement, competing in structured, monthly Performance Group Events. Performance metrics to measure positive change in each organization will be set as part of the competition criteria.
Performance will be facilitated locally by qualified Business Olympics Consultants using materials and topics provided by CEO Support Systems, in collaboration with the outside experts forming the Business Olympics Committee. The monthly Performance Group meetings provide the perfect forum for business leaders to voice critical business issues and test decisions, explore ideas, discuss issues, and seek the help, support, and wisdom of other business leaders and advisors from a variety of areas. Subject matter experts will establish validity and value of all materials, with continual improvement as the competition progresses. All necessary tools and materials will be provided to participants via the Internet.
Accountability will be the core foundation for each competitor, as consistent metrics will be established using industry standards, such as: revenue per employee, margins, growth, quality improvements, etc. Standardized metrics will be tracked during the year-long engagement as participants grow the value of their teams as a result of the performance group competition.
Different levels of competition, based on the size and needs of the organizations and industry will be set, and will involve both subjective and objective ratings. Finalists will proceed to the next level of competition each quarter. The companies with the best scores will receive rewards along the way and be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals at a final event celebration. The Final Ceremonies will take place in a nation-wide event with visibility and excitement. This will offer a huge boost to all participants and catapult the winner of the final competition, setting new standards of success for everyone.
Together, we can win the “NEW GAME” of business in this economic storm.
